About me

Dr. Bolong Zhou is currently a research associate at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, under the supervision of Prof. Hai Yang. Dr. Zhou earned his PhD in Civil Engineering (Transportation) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2026, and obtained his B.Eng. degree in Aviation Engineering with a minor in Applied Mathematics from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2022, graduating with first-class honors. He has been recognized for his academic excellence and received the HKSAR Government Scholarship and the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship. Dr. Zhou’s research focuses on transport network modeling and optimization, airline and airport operation analysis, and transport economics. He has published four peer-reviewed journal articles as the first author in top-tier transportation journals (Transportation Research Part A/B/C).
